PCB Layout CAD : Running PollEx DFE
Running PollEx DFE (Electrical Characteristics Check)
With Quadcept, it is possible to check electrical current rules by directly collaborating with outside software PollEx DFE (Design for Electrical).
PCB design data is transferred directly to PollEx, so it is possible to check design data as is before manufacturing, which greatly reduces the drawing check time.
To execute this, "PollEx" by Polliwog is required.
It is necessary to configure items for checking design data from the "PollEx" side, and to create a "DFESI" file.
Verifiable Items
- Net Check
- Ground/Power Supply
- Route Length
- Antenna
- Component Interference
etc.
Menu Execution Method
The following is the method for executing menus for PollEx DFE.

About Synchro Collaboration
When direct collaboration is executed on the same computer and a result from the DFE Check executed by the PollEx is clicked,
on the Quadcept side, the screen pans to the relevant location, and it is highlighted.
When [Run DFM] is executed, "PollEx" starts automatically, and a Rule Check will be executed for items set in the DFESI file. When a check result on the PollEx side is selected, on the Quadcept side, the screen pans to the relevant location, and it is highlighted. * Quadcept/PollEx are both activated. |

* Compatible versions for drawing check collaboration are Quadcept v8.2.0 or later and PollEx-PCB v6.0 (Jul-3-2015) or later.
