Sharing Quadcept Files

The following will explain how to share the same Quadcept Directory and data with multiple people, companies, and groups.
Quadcept data is in database format, so the method is by sharing the same database.


The following will explain how to create a new database, and how to reference the database for sharing.

- Creating a New Database (For Administrators)
- Referencing Databases (For Clients)

Databases are empty when they are created.
When there is data that you want to move, export the data using Export Quadcept File,
create a new database, and then load the data using Import Quadcept File.
It is also possible to execute Ensure Backup from "Quadcept Maintenance" Data Management,
create a new database, and then perform Restore Backup there.

Creating a New Database
The following will explain how to create a new databases in a server, etc.
(1) Click => [Settings]
=> [Environment Settings]
(2) Open "Storage Space (Sharing Settings)", and click the "..." button in "Storage Space (Sharing Settings)".
(3) Input a File Name, and then click "Save"
(4)

Click "OK" on the Settings screen.

 


Referencing a Database
The following will explain how to reference a databases such as a server.
(1) Click => [Settings]
=> [Environment Settings]
(2) Open "Storage Space (Sharing Settings)", and click the "..." button in "Storage Space (Sharing Settings)".
(3) Select a file, and then click "Save"
(4) Click "OK" on the Settings screen.

For the automatically created Quadcept database, "default.qdb" and a "default folder" will be created.
Keep in mind that both a "qdb file" and a "folder with same name" are needed for sharing the database.
