Extract Objects to Cache

A cache dialog allows you to manually extract the objects used in a project to a library cache.

Extract Objects to Cache
The following explains how to extract the objects used in a project to a library cache.
(1) Open a cache dialog.
* For how to open a cache dialog, please see Open Cache Dialog.
(2) Select [Option]
-> [Extract Objects to Cache].
(3) Specify where you extract objects from and what object you extract.

(4) Click "OK".
(5) Click "OK".
  =>The objects in a project are extracted to the Library cache.

Source Library

Allows you to specify where you extract objects from. You can choose libraries in a database or placed objects on design sheets as a source library.

・Extract from Library (Objects will not be extracted if not in the library)
  Extracts each object from the libraries in Quadcept databases.
  If there is no corresponding object in the libraries, it will not be extracted.
  If a corresponding object is found in multiple locations (local-db/master-db),
  it will be extracted based on Reference Priority.
・Extract from Sheet (All the changes after placement will maintain)
  Extracts the objects placed on design sheets in a project.
  This allows you to extract the objects edited on the design sheets.

Object Type

Allows you to select object type(s) to extract. The following objects can be selected as the object type.

・Component
・Symbol
・Footprint

Also, the following option is available when "Extract from Sheet (All the changes after placement will maintain)" is selected as a source library.

・Include Assigned Symbol/Footprint
  Extracts components including assigned symbol(s) and footprint(s).

Extracts objects to the library cache.

Cancel

Close the Extract Objects to Cache dialog.
