Differential Pair

Configure Differential Pair settings.
By configuring Differential Pair Settings, you can configure "Differential Pair Routes", and after routing, you can adjust the Route Length from "Tune Differential Pair Route Lengths".
Gaps, Route Lengths, and Tolerance violations of differential pairs are verified in the DRC.

Setting Method

First, in Settings, there is an "Assignment" tab, "Net Pair" tab, and "Advanced Settings" tabs.
The "Advanced Settings" tab is used for configuring actual settings, and the "Assignment" tab is used for configuring which settings are assigned to which Net.

The following will explain each setting tab.

Explanation of Each Setting Tab
Tab Name Content

Assignment

It is possible to assign the "Settings" that are applied to Nets set in the "Net Class".

For example, you can create a "Power Supply Net Class (GND, VCC)" Net Class, and assign the setting for "Power Supply Net Settings".
When it is not necessary to divide settings for each Net, all Nets apply to "DefaultClass", so, assign "DefaultSetting".
* All Nets not individually assigned in the Net Class are "DefaultClass".

Net Pair

Configures pair settings for the Net for which you want to execute Differential Pair.

Advanced Settings

Configures actual settings.
Multiple definition is possible for settings.


Net Pair

Configure Net Pair setting.

 


"Net Pair" Settings
Configure pair settings for the Net for executing Differential Pair.
-1 Click "Add".
-2 Set the Net Name from the Pulldown.

 


Advanced Settings

Configure actual Differential Pair settings.

Gap Settings
Item Name Content

Gap

Configures the Gap between pair routes.

Route Length Settings

Route Length Settings

When a check is placed for "Route Length Settings", Route Length can be checked using either "Route Length" or "Tolerance".

Set Route Length

Checks whether the Route Length is within the Tolerance for Basis Route Length.

Set Tolerance only

Checks whether multiple Routes are within the Tolerance.


Assignment Settings

"Assignment" Settings
It is possible to assign the "Settings" that are applied to Net Pairs set in "Net Pair".
  The Net Pair set in the "Net Pair" tab will be displayed.
-1 Select settings.
  "TxPair" in Net Pair is referred to as "TxSetting" in Advanced Settings,
and "RxPair" in Net Pair is referred to as "RxSetting" in Advanced Settings.
